Hummus

I make a base where a lot of different things can be added. Since I don’t eat hot food this is my base:

300 g pre cooked and cold chick peas
1/2 lemon (juice)
1-2 dl olive oil of a good quality
Herb salt

Put everything except the salt in a blender and mix it. Taste, add salt if it’s needed and blend again. Taste again.

If you blend it lightly you get a crunchy version and if you blend it a long time and evt. add a little more oil and you’ve a more smooth version.

To get a variety in taste you can add things like:

  • Garlic (I use 1/8 chinese garlic)
  • Fresh basil
  • Fresh parsley
  • Chili
  • Red bell pepper
  • Avocado
  • Pre cooked cold carrots
  • Pre cooked cold beets
